North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has died

Kim Jong-il, North Korean leader has died, The states official television has announced the news. He was 69 years old at the time of his death.
He led communist nation in 1994 after sudden death of his father. Mr. Kim died on a train while he was visiting areas outside the capital.

Mr. Kim already had a stroke in 2008 and was out from public views for several months. Pyongyang described his son Kim Jong-un as the "great successor" and urged North Koreans to unite behind him. "All party associates, army men and the community should consistently adhere to the authority of comrade Kim Jong-un and secure and further enhance the specific entrance of the party, army and the community," South Korea's state-run announcement organization, KCNA, said.

Kim Jong-un, who is imagined to be in his overdue 20s, was called as his father's successor just over a season ago. A funeral for Kim Jong-il will be held in the capital Pyongyang on 28 November and Kim Jong-un will head the funeral panel, KCNA reviews. A interval of nationwide grieving has been announced from 17 to 29 November.
