Labeling Machines

Today we can see so many different products beautifully packed and actually get attracted towards them through their
packing and how beautifully they are labeled. If we bother and think about, we will find a complete and complex system inside it as we do all this labeling stuff through machines. Labeling machines are basically a sort of robotic machines that under some pre-configured programs print and put pressure sensitive labels to different products. We can name here different types of labeling like shipping labeling, graphics labeling, content labeling etc.

Such machines are developed in 1970s, today we have more improved and enhanced functionality machines but the basic mechanism is same as in the past machines. The labeling machine basically consists of three primary sections, a printer, an applicator and media. Media handles the labels, i-e it controls how the labels are sent to the printer. While printer accepts the data and put it onto the labels and applicator section send the labels to products.

With the advancement in computer technology we have improved the labeling technology a lot. So we can divide a labeling system into four basic parts, three of them we have already discussed above and the fourth one is the computing power, i-e computers are attached to the machines which can store and control the data more efficiently bar code printing is an example of it. From business point of view we can well aware how different packing and labels on the products attract customers. Further while shipping products through containers labeling the identification codes helps identifying the concerned products. Today different labeling machines are available in the market for labeling the products.
