a week ago at a US air base. Taliban took the responsibility of this blast and told media that it was revenge from the soldiers who burned the Holy Quran.
Though US President Barack
Obama apologized for the burning of Quran and told officially that it was
unintentionally, US would take action against those who were responsible for
this act, but the burning fired up extreme violence among people across the
country.
The airport was in use of both civilians and
military forces however there were no reports of international forces being
among the casualties in Jalalabad. There were a number of cars reported destroyed
at the gate.
Zabiullah Mujahid, Taliban spokesperson told in
his email to media resources that the blast was in reaction against the burning
of their Holy Book. Persident Hamid Karzai appealed for calm the anger. In his television
speech on Sunday, Mr Hamid Karzai condemned the burning of Quran but also added
that the message has delivered to those who were responsible for the incident
and now we must calm our feelings down and be peaceful.
